Bridgeville Quarry permit compliance

Urged the commission to suspend Mercer Fraser's quarry CUP, alleging operations on Chalk Mountain Ranch parcels outside the permitted area and in possible conflict with a conservation easement, and questioned an unpaid $5,590 permit invoice.

Said Mercer Fraser has been quarrying across Chalk Mountain Ranch land without permits, removing riparian buffers and erosion controls, and left the ranch with state violations; asked the county to issue a stop-work notice.

Fifth-generation rancher said 48 dump truck loads were removed from a steelhead stream zone without permission, costing about $150,000, and asked the county to apply its permit rules evenly.
